At this year's NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, the Japanese specialist in electronic musical instruments will be presenting numerous impressive new products.
The phase8 is a completely new type of synthesizer with a unique electro-mechanical sound generation system in which tuned metal resonators are set into vibration by electromagnetic pulses. The sound can be influenced not only by electronic settings, but also by haptic interaction such as touching, striking, or plucking the resonators. In this way, the synth offers the playing experience of an acoustic instrument and combines both worlds in an inspiring way.
