With its six-voice polyphony, the next generation volca fm is offering twice as many voices as its predecessor, as well as twice as many effects and twice as many preset programs. As the first volca ever, it comes with MIDI OUT connectivity, two effects (chorus and reverb), which can be controlled separately from each other, as well as a new randomize function. Using an external MIDI keyboard, the new volca fm can be played velocity-sensitive for a highly expressional performance. Based on the classic sound engine with 6 operators and 32 algorithms, the new volca fm is capable of loading and reproducing the original sound programs of the most influential FM-synthesizer of the 80's via SysEx.
